Ryan was born in Colorado Springs but spent a small part of his youth in Chile. Coming to Las Vegas in 1998 Ryan found a home at a performing arts high school where after he spent the majority of his twenties as a professional dancer. While healing an injury he started to explore cannabis as a treatment where he notice a particular ease of understanding with the plant and its applications. Diving in with both feet Ryan started working with the plant at any capacity possible which included helping start a "grey area" dispensary in Las Vegas that was later raided by local police. The raid caused Ryan to dive into activism and cannabis regulation in order to gain a better understanding of Nevada cannabis trends. Once the case from the raid was dismissed and Nevada adopted its new medical cannabis laws, Ryan started working with The Dispensary group in Nevada to help them open three locations as well as develop processes and operations surrounding the companies purchasing and relations. Ryan the CannaSomm lives in Las Vegas Nevada with his wife and two children while holding the position of menu curator to The Dispensary. Ryan is currently the spearhead of the operations and procurement team for all locations and speaks across the US to future investors and operators on what to expect entering into the cannabis space.
