Rodolphe Bocquet

Rodolphe Bocquet co-founded Beyond Ratings with two partners in 2014 to better integrate the risk factors related to energy and climate change and their impacts on investments. This new venture is in line with Rodolphe’s background at the crossroads of finance and climate change policies. Rodolphe was a risk manager on equity derivative markets for seven years before leading innovative financing programs in the field of climate change and sustainable development for several French institutions between 2003 and 2013 (ADEME, Aquitaine Regional Council, French Development Bank).

Rodolphe graduated from HEC, NYU Stern Business School and Mines ParisTech. He has built on a great experience of financing instruments, asset valuation and risk management as a front officer on financial markets (option models, DCF methodologies, risk sensitivity analysis). This financial expertise has proven a strong asset as Rodolphe shifted his career in the field of energy-climate and sustainable development public policies. He has been in a position to develop several innovative financing schemes: carbon funds, private-public energy private equity funds, subsidised credit facilities for financial institutions, and investment funds. As Head of Sustainable Development of the Aquitaine Regional Council and as Environmental Finance Expert at the AFD he has also developed strong communication and negotiation skills with public authorities and governments.
