Robert Kasirer is the Manager of the Kasirer Family Office, where he built a national real estate investment and management company with holdings spread across 12 states. He also serves as President of the Kasirer Family Foundation (“KFF”), which supports educational institutions and Jewish causes. Through this foundation, contributions have been made to universities, schools, camps, community programs, and many Jewish organizations working to strengthen learning and engagement.
In 2022, he launched the Neshamah Project Inc. in the United States, together with a related nonprofit in Israel, to create the Neshamah Platform and Neshamah App. These efforts were designed to bring music, Jewish learning, prayer, podcasts, videos, and short interactive experiences into one coordinated digital space. The platform serves individuals and communities and offers customizable areas where organizations, synagogues, schools, camps, campus groups, and content creators can share their materials alongside a global library.
Robert's family history is rooted in resilience. His parents were Holocaust survivors; his mother endured Auschwitz, and his father was forced into labor. Most of their relatives were killed. They came from a small village in the Carpathian Mountains, now part of Ukraine. After liberation, they married and lived in Austria while awaiting visas to the United States. He and a sibling were born there, and another was later born in Los Angeles after the family immigrated.
When the family arrived in Los Angeles in 1954, Jewish institutions in the city were limited. His parents helped establish schools, supported synagogues, and extended their involvement to Jewish communities in New York and Israel. Their commitment strongly influenced him. At 13, he attended a Jewish boarding school in New York, continuing both religious and secular studies through university.
Kasirer later attended New York University and a law school in New York. After passing the bar, he moved to Los Angeles, formed a law firm with two associates, and later joined a national firm before working in real estate with his father. After his father passed in 2005, he continued to expand the company. His sons and son-in-law now oversee daily operations while he serves as Chairman.
He has been married for 48 years, has four children, and has 13 grandchildren. He enjoys skiing, hiking, and traveling, pursuits that continue to shape Robert Kasirer's life and work.
