I was born in Lock Haven PA on October 24th, 1977. I attended Liberty Curtin Elementary School and graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1996. After High School, I worked several jobs before joining the United States Navy. Upon graduation from Basic Training, I attended Naval Hospital Corps School in Great Lakes, IL, and was a member of class 97240. I worked at Branch Medical Clinic 237 and the Emergency Medical Services department. I then served with First Marine Division with 3rd Battalion 5th Marines and 1st Battalion 5th Marines. During my service with the Marines I deployed to Okinawa Japan 2001 and Operation Iraqi Freedom 2003. In 2005 I reported to Multi-National Security Transition Command Iraq as an idependentaugmentee, in support of Iraqi Freedom, where I instructed new Iraqi soldiers on security and medical procedures. I returned from Iraq to the Branch Clinic in Mechanicsburg, PA. I then transferred to Naval Hospital Corps School to be an instructor.
