As the founder of Project X, my primary objective is to advance the proliferation of local living economies, while simultaneously addressing social and environmental disparities. One way we achieve this is through our Venture Builders, which involve targeted upstream investments, with the overarching aim of accelerating the collective resolution of complex issues known as "wicked problems."
Areas of interest:
BUSINESS - Business runs in my family, tracing back through my matrilineal line. From a young age, I've been involved in the global ecosystem as a founder, owner, investor and consultant, starting with selling my parents' tent trailer at the age of eleven (with consent). I prioritize sustainable growth, digital evolution, operational excellence, minimalist design, and personal leadership.
LOCAL LIVING ECONOMIES - My enduring passion lies in non-traditional economic development, particularly in assisting already livable communities to establish an economic model that suits their unique needs. I aspire to bring together and introduce innovative community economic development models through an entrepreneurial lens.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP - Entrepreneurship can be likened to art in that it involves using pre-existing building blocks to create something new and innovative. To me, entrepreneurship is not merely a synonym for business, but rather a unique perspective on the world, and a tool for fostering community development. My forte lies in bringing together diverse communities to facilitate this convergence.
INVESTING - My focus lies in developing and implementing unconventional investment models that foster the growth and development of an economy that benefits everyone. In the past, I have written on topics such as impact search funds and impact mortgage investment corporations, and I am currently in the process of co-designing a private equity holding company that can be potentially publicly traded to support local economic development en masse.
