Bio

A licensed independent mental health practitioner in Nebraska, practicing since 2015, with specialized training in ADHD assessment and treatment. Certified as an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider, with experience working across various settings, including schools, community agencies, and private practice.

A frequent speaker at statewide conferences in Nebraska and South Dakota, covering topics such as ADHD, behavior modification, and the neurophysiology of memory and trauma. Also presented at the American Counseling Association’s national conference on ADHD assessment and treatment.

In addition to clinical work, hosts At Our COR, a mental health podcast focused on education and professional discussions in the field.

A presentation at the American Counseling Association’s national conference in Toronto, Canada in May of 2023. Presentation covered the diagnostic procedures and tools for ADHD and SCT as well as best practices for working with and treating both disorders.

An Eclectic Guide to Behavior Modification

A presentation at the Nebraska Counseling Conference in 2019 discussing a broad overview of behavior modification as it applies to the counseling profession. Discussed key terminology as well as common behavior trends seen in children and adults.

Paying Attention to Attention

Researched the physiological aspects of attention and wakefulness to improve the treatment and understanding of ADHD. Presented at the Nebraska Counseling Conference in 2016 and Elgin Public Schools in 2018.

Training Memory: Understanding Long-Term Potentiation

Gained knowledge in the neuroscience of forming memories and how our brains create and hold onto patterns. Utilized this research to implement an understanding of how some individuals seem to be stuck in a negative way of thinking. Presented at the South Dakota Counseling Conference in 2014.

Work-Life Balance and Stress Reduction

A presentation on finding ways to manage and improve participants work-life balance through exploration of professional boundaries and emotional compartmentalization. A discussion also took place on skills and techniques for stress management based on live feedback from participants about their current stressors.
