Bio

Patrick spent many years as a sports gambling addict and lost everything. He walked out of jail in June of 2015 and never looked back. He now spends his time speaking at colleges, conferences, and corporate events, raising awareness about the dangers of sports wagering in our country.

As a former student athlete and respected professional in the Seattle area, Patrick knows first hand what can be lost due to gambling related harms. Patrick’s purpose and goal is to use his lived experience and expertise to help people understand what can happen if they lose control, in a powerful 60 minute presentation.

“The Silent Addiction”

45-50 minute presentation, followed by 10-15 minute Q&A. Patrick will take the audience inside the secret life of a raging sports gambling addict. This is a very candid talk about the dark side of sports wagering and the many lives that are affected by it. Patrick’s talk will begin with his time as a college student-athlete, then wind through his 20’s & 30’s, when his life completely unraveled. He will cover the first 9 years of his marriage, ending up over a million dollars in debt and living a lie that his wife knew nothing about. Threats to his life, jail, all part of this powerful talk.

Patrick will conclude his presentation with resources, tools, and signs to look for when it comes to gambling harm.
