Nicky Wood

Nicky Wood is qualified Naturopath, Clinical EFT Practitioner, Wellness Program Facilitator and Spa Industry Business Consultant, who has authored a number of E-Books and published articles on health and wellbeing for online and in print publications around Australia.

Nicky embarked on her career in the health industry in the late 90’s, in the role of retreat program coordinator and Naturopath for two of Australia’s finest retreat facilities on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW. Prior to that, Nicky held high administrative level positions within an Australian welfare agency.

Nicky has presented plenty of doses of healthy advice to employees of Woolworths, The Compass Group, Gary Cricks Motors, Daimler Chrysler, Clipsal, Toyota, Aromatica Australia, Diversicare, Mondial-Assistance/Allianz-Assistance, Logan City Council, as well as the Self Storage Association based in California USA.

For over 24 years Nicky has been providing sound professional advice to thousands of patients from many corners of the world, meaning that distance is no barrier to supporting the health and wellbeing of others.

Nicky delivers inspiring and practical keynote presentations on various health topics to companies who seek to improve workplace productivity and resilience, using strategic healthy perspectives and sound programming for their employees.

With her interest piqued in the development of business infrastructure in the wellness and spa industries, Nicky moved into global spa operations for Mandara Spa and Hyatt International in exotic locations including Borneo, Caribbean, Brazil, and Japan as well as on the Sunshine Coast between 1999 and 2003.

Nicky gained additional skills in Spa Management within the specialised arena of new hotel and spa openings, and with her team, refined the now utilised international spa standards for Hyatt International. This also gave Nicky a corporate perspective of balancing health with work in the crazy pace of the hospitality industry.

Today, Nicky works with organisations in designing and implementing Corporate Wellness Programs to their teams, consults privately in clinic, mentors other practitioners and works closely with her corporate clients in supporting the wellbeing of their teams.

She is also a busy single mum with a young pro junior surfing athlete daughter who had a medically tricky start to life. Nicky understands the juggle of parenthood and sideline support in the sporting arena - and how to build a champion from the ground up.

On a side note, Nicky has also completed Stand Up Comedy training and weaves humour throughout her presentations to create a message that sticks, but not is sticky!
