Bio

Speaker. Advocate. Mom to a Miracle. Champion for Families Navigating the Impossible.

Hi, I’m Michelle—and I help parents of complex kids do the hardest job in the world with more clarity, more confidence, and a whole lot more heart.

Before this life chose me, I was thriving in medical sales—leading surgical teams, training world-class orthopedic surgeons, and closing multimillion-dollar deals in high-pressure ORs. I knew how to command a room, speak the language of healthcare, and earn the trust of top professionals.

Then came Drake.

Becoming the mom of a medically complex, neurodivergent child flipped everything I knew upside down. Suddenly, I wasn’t the expert in the room—I was the terrified parent in the hallway, waiting for answers no one could give me. I went from boss to beggar overnight—begging doctors to listen, begging insurance companies to care, begging the school system to do better. And through it all, I realized: I wasn’t alone.

There are thousands of parents like me—smart, strong, and completely overwhelmed. Trying to navigate a system that wasn’t built for our kids. Trying to hold a family together while silently falling apart.

That’s why I created Wisdom 4 Complex Kids—to give parents the tools, the language, and the power to become their child’s best advocate. I built the THRIVE Masterclass to break down complex systems like IEPs, insurance, and behavior plans into real, doable strategies. And I launched my podcast, Complex Kids, Simple Solutions, because we all need someone who gets it.

When I speak, I bring the fire of a seasoned medical pro and the raw honesty of a mom who’s been through the trenches. I blend research-backed insights with real-life stories—funny, messy, and deeply human. My talks don’t just inform—they ignite. Whether I’m speaking to parents, educators, or professionals, I leave people feeling seen, equipped, and ready to fight forward with purpose.

Because this isn’t just my story. It’s the story of every parent who’s ever looked at their child and thought, I will move mountains for you—even if I have to build the map myself.

Neurodiversity in Harmony: Turning Advocacy into Action for Complex Kids

This session was a deep dive into what it really meant to advocate for a neurodivergent or medically complex child—not just in meetings or paperwork, but in everyday life. I shared the hard-earned lessons from navigating IEPs, insurance denials, misdiagnoses, and the emotional toll that often goes unseen.

Instead of offering empty inspiration, I gave parents real tools to shift from surviving to leading—with confidence, clarity, and compassion. Together, we unpacked the systems that often fail families like ours and explored how to rebuild them through relationships, teamwork, and aligned support.

This wasn’t about doing it all—it was about knowing what matters most and standing in that truth, even when it was hard. Because when parents of complex kids feel seen, supported, and empowered, everything changes—not just for them, but for their children too.

THRIVE: A Framework for Raising Complex Kids Without Losing Yourself

I unpacked the THRIVE framework—a path I created for parents of complex kids who were tired of feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and constantly behind. I walked through each pillar: Teamwork, Help Systems, Relationships, Integration, Validation, and Expecting the Miracle, showing how these concepts transformed both my advocacy and my family life.

Rather than promising perfection, I shared how to build real progress—one conversation, one decision, one moment of courage at a time. I told stories from my own journey raising a neurodivergent child, stories filled with setbacks, systems, small wins, and second chances.

Attendees left not only with a framework, but with the belief that they could do this—that advocating for their child didn’t require perfection, just presence and power. THRIVE gave them a new lens, a new language, and a lifeline back to themselves.
