Bio

Hey, I'm Mercedes! I’m The Career Love Coach, and I’m on a mission to build a community of Black women stepping boldly into their Black Woman Bliss Era—creating careers, businesses, and lifestyles we absolutely love. As a DEI practitioner, certified HR professional, and unapologetic career and business coach for Black women, I help high-performing Black women reconnect with their passions, embrace their brilliance, and build profitable service-based businesses to create the abundant life we deserve.

Believing in the power of liberation, rest, and ease, I coach Black women to shift their mindsets, build confidence, and take bold action on their goals—whether it’s packaging their skills to transition into a dream job, turning their passions into purpose-driven businesses, or creating wealth to create their ideal lifestyle.

I'm also a very proud ADHDer with a passion and expertise in Human Resources and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion who loves educating, coaching and training others on these topics.

  • Mercedes recently spoke as an expert panelist at the Social Connections Summit 2025. Mercedes’ presence on the panel was electric. She spoke with honesty about unmasking ADHD, workplace burnout, and the need for systems to change. Her bold belief in liberation as a career strategy for Black women was one of the most memorable takeaways of the Summit for me and many other attendees! As she spoke she received many comments celebrating the intersection of her identities. She shared her experiences working in HR as a Black woman with ADHD and challenged us to redefine success on our own terms. Mercedes’ contribution helped people see that joy, rest, and purpose can coexist with ambition. She gave us all permission to build lives and careers we love. Whether you’re leading DEI work, supporting Black women professionals, or creating healthier workplaces, I highly recommend Mercedes.
