An ordained minister, revolutionary thinker, and transformative leader, Dr. MeMe Brown has established a distinguished reputation as a catalyst for change and confidence. Affectionately known as "Lady B," she is the wife of Dr. Eric L. Brown, Pastor and Founder of The Exodus Church, with current locations in Texas, Mississippi, and South Carolina.
Hailing from Natchez, Mississippi, Dr. Brown received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Alcorn State University in the Spring of 2003. She went on to achieve a Masters in Divinity and completed her Doctorate in Ministry from Slidell Baptist Seminary in June of 2013. Lady B was officially ordained as a Minister of the Gospel on July 10, 2016.
Having accepted the call to ministry, Dr. MeMe quickly became privy to the spiritual and socioeconomic barriers that were universally blocking women from walking in their purpose. Being a strong advocate for female liberation, she began her pursuit of empowerment by strategizing to encourage through speaking, teaching, counseling, and social media. In pursuit of said endeavors, she launched the I Am™ Women’s Ministry at the Exodus Church to encourage women to never suffer from an identity crisis. Branded a Life Stylist with the expertise of a Confidence Coach, she is the founder of Muse Material: a mentoring platform focused on styling clients from the inside out providing the fundamentals to womanhood by using biblical principles and practical application. Most recently this has led to the launch of Word Girl™, a weekly broadcast where she engages a national audience in a transparent yet impactful way.
Further accomplishments include the Not Your Average Chick™ Women’s Conference, which has spearheaded NYAC City Tours and NYAC @ Nite. Lady B is also the proud author of I am NYAC, Kingdom Edition an in-depth motivational study of the most notable women in the Bible, as well The 31 Day Selfie Challenge and Spirits that Attack Women, which she co-authored with her husband, Dr. Eric L. Brown. Her animated and out-of-the box approach to life and ministry truly mirrors her effusive personality.
Dr. MeMe Brown currently serves as the Executive Pastor of The Exodus Church, and she is most proud to mother Cire S. Brown and daughter Savi M. Brown. Her lifestyle and teachings both inspire and challenge women to develop a stronger and more authentic relationship with God.
