Bio

Meg Delp is a practicing licensed marriage and family therapist, seeing adult clients who are struggling in their relationships at work and home, and ultimately with themselves. With her clinical education and experience, Meg helps organizations develop better strategies for communication, celebrating each individual for their strengths, and creating a trauma-informed culture. Mental health can no longer be swept under the rug at work!

Building a mentally strong company is long and winding, but while it can be uncomfortable at times, it can also be fun and exciting. Meg uses compassion, warmth, and humor to create a space for employees to understand their own mental health and how everyone can work together to build a better workspace. The employee is responsible for their own mental health, but the company is responsible for allowing that growth and change that supports each individual!

Currently Meg lives in Austin, TX, surviving the heat day by day. She has her Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and is a Doctoral Candidate in Human and Organizational Psychology. Meg is a life-long learner, believing that she can learn as much from her clients as she teaches them. She's excited to reach more people through organizations to build healthier relationships, with a trauma-informed lens.

Mental Health 101: The Basics of Maintaining Mental Health at Work

This presentation lays the groundwork for employees managing their mental health at work and home. We also review how to care for friends and family, as well as how mental health struggles show up at work.
The audience leaves with actionable steps that they can do right away to start working on their mental health.

The Trauma-Informed Workplace: What Does Trauma Even Mean?

Trauma is a scary word - we build a better understanding of first what it is, second how to notice it, and third and to heal it. Finally, we create space for the organization to become trauma-informed in how they engage with their employees.

The Generations at Work - Villains or Superheroes?

There is quite a bit of animosity that can appear between generations at work because they "do things differently". I like to challenge these companies to flip the script and see each generation as bringing skills and strengths to the table that the other generations may not have.

Remote Safety for the Virtual Workspace

Managing mental health in an office is one thing - people are visible, habits are noticed, interactions are had. Virtually, people can hide behind their screens and develop a mental health issue without anyone noticing. We talk about how to create virtual safety for remote workers, as well as providing those remote worker actionable items they can do to ensure they are staying safe.

Communicating Well With Difficult People

What do you do when you need to communicate but the person you're talking to is making it really hard to do that? We investigate how to maintain your own integrity and value-system, even when you're frustrated beyond belief.

Emotional Intelligence at Work

What was once considered a "soft skill" we have realized is actually one of the most important skills a leader can have. Are you a leader or aspiring leader? Emotional intelligence is a non-negotiable. We talk about what it is and how to build it.
