Lawrence E. Henderson, Jr., PhD is a comfort-disrupting leadership and organizational development speaker, coach, and trainer who delivers socially and culturally aware programs that shift the fabric of organizations. A former U.S. Army Commissioned Officer, Lawrence began his leadership journey through service to his country, blending military discipline with dynamic coaching strategies to build high-performing, engaged teams.

Now the Owner & CEO of Business Operational Support Services (BOSS), LLC, Lawrence helps individuals, teams, and organizations connect the dots to their best selves. An ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Certified Professional Coach (CPC), he specializes in leadership development, strategic change, and executive presence, working with top organizations like Facebook, Verizon, and Pfizer to drive transformative outcomes.

A TEDx speaker, Lawrence equips audiences with practical tools to lead with purpose and impact. Holding a PhD in Organizational Leadership and a master’s in human resources, he remains committed to advancing leadership excellence and helping others bridge the gap between self-awareness and purpose in today’s evolving business landscape.

Death to "It Depends" Leadership

How many of us have been in a business or project launch meeting and details of what needs to be done start to be thrown around and then the "leader" in the room gets asked a question, and the gut-wrenching response comes back, "Well, It depends." Well, thank you "Captain obvious!" is what we think, well, maybe just me. How many projects or decisions have been stalled by "It depends"? If we as leaders know so much about the path to improved organizational performance, why is it so difficult to get there?

This interactive session incorporates small group and large group think-tank discussions on how we can close the gap between Knowing versus Doing. We will begin the work to put to death the DeFacto "It Depends" and build a healthy living environment for decision-making and action-taking.
