I came to the United States as a refugee when I was 17 years old. originally, I am from Iraq and was raised in Syria. I speak to motivate and inspire people by showing myself as an example and sharing my journey. Another purpose of my speeches is to educate others about who refugees are and to correct the misconceptions made by the media.
