Bidding To Be Your Best

What if the secret to success wasn’t playing by the rules—but rewriting them entirely?
In this high-energy, laugh-and-learn keynote, Layne flips the script on what it means to succeed. With sharp wit, raw honesty, and stories that hit you right in the feels, they take you on a bold journey from “safe and stuck” to “authentic and unstoppable.”
You’ll explore what it looks like when someone challenges outdated systems, disrupts bias in real time, and proves that authenticity isn’t just allowed, it’s a superpower. This session speaks directly to everyone from seasoned leaders to company newcomers, focusing on creating inclusion-driven teams who want to foster environments where diverse identities aren’t just accepted, but celebrated, and where everyone has the tools to lead with courage, curiosity, and confidence.

From She To They

In From She To They, Layne explains what identifying as “Non-Binary” means. With correct language, and the understanding the importance of pronouns, listeners take away immediate learnings. Layne gives insight on what behaviors and actions are needed to become a more inclusive society.

Providing welcoming spaces for all genders is not a privilege, it’s a right.

With dynamic story-telling, humour, emotion and an educational lens, Layne delivers a presentation that will activate audiences to be the best version of themselves and become a positive force in their home, work and community by creating welcoming spaces for all.

Learning Outcomes:
-Reframe societal expectations to live freely and be authentically you.
-Understand Non-Binary, and how to use pronouns correctly.
-Feel the reality of a LGBTQIA+ professional in a seemingly binary world.

Power of Play

Why is play so important for adults? For starters, it's great for our mental health, it helps ward off depression, keeps our brains flexible and sharpens our social-emotional skills. And let's face it, it makes us feel good!

As adults, we don’t often play nearly enough.

Layne helps audiences rekindle their relationship with their inner child while exploring the positive impacts of play.

By tapping into our fun, creative and playful inner child, we can experience increased contentment.

With intelligent humour, interactive activities and learning about ‘Play Personalities’, participants will leave feeling invigorated and enthusiastic about incorporating play into their daily lives.

Learning Outcomes:
-Recognize the Importance of Play
-Embrace a Playful Mindset
-Cultivate Work-Life Balance

Making Friends With The Future

How do we stay “friends” with the future no matter what life throws our way?

Layne has endured cumulative trauma: financial ruin, dealing with life-threatening health issues, a business gone dark due to the pandemic. Most daunting of all: enduring domestic violence, surviving (and thriving) to give testimony to the undeniable hardship that over 100,000 women across this country face every year.

In Making Friends With The Future, Layne shares the uplifting, very personal and insightful journey of their life. Audiences will learn how the choices they make when their world is falling apart, can lead to finding strength and a positive anticipation of the future.

Learning Outcomes:
-Channel and redirect fear and vulnerability into a positive perspective
-Understand the power of manifestation
-Reframe societal expectations to live freely and be authentically you
-Commit to small, daily actions and find the joy in your future

Gender Informed Leaders Wanted

Building leadership competence and confidence by helping young leaders become gender informed.

Educating the audience through a discussion about gender identity, Layne creates a safe space to learn the language and actions of an effective and compassionate ally. Layne helps students develop an understanding of what it means to support diverse gender identities and gender expressions, and why this is critical in a leadership role.

Participants will take away learnings and actions that can be immediately implemented into their daily lives, social and academic experiences, and their leadership development journey.

For young leaders, this workshop provides opportunity to create a significant impact personally, professionally and within their student communities. With education and action, we can create spaces that are free from discrimination.

This 60-minute workshop includes group and individual activities and an engaging discussion component.
