Laurie Parise is an Echoing Green Fellow who has received funding as a social entrepreneur to found her own nonprofit organization: Youth Represent. For over a decade, Laurie worked as the Founder and Executive Director of this youth defense, reentry, and policy organization to represent young people 24 and younger in New York City. She helped to create the organization’s award-winning community lawyering fee for service model and expanded Youth Represent to all five boroughs of New York City, thanks to her partnerships with community-based organizations and government agencies.

Laurie also consults with a nonprofit organization in California whose goal is to assist formerly incarcerated people.
