Throughout my life, I’ve been blessed to have several champions who recognized my potential before I ever saw it in myself. My first champion was my mom. She always believed I could accomplish anything, and she never hesitated to push me toward things I didn’t always want to do, or even things I didn’t think I was capable of. Her unwavering confidence in me gave me the courage to chase my dreams and keep growing. She was the first to build me into the champion I am today.

Later, I had a college professor who also saw my potential and poured into me. He went beyond the classroom, mentoring me and others. He balanced high support—encouragement, resources, and time—with high challenge—stretch goals, opportunities, and accountability. Their belief in me helped me become more of my best self and profoundly impacted my ability to realize my dreams.

It’s because of these champions that I’m so passionate about helping others. I’ve seen the power of self-awareness firsthand—it’s transformational. But the real magic happens when we combine that self-awareness with the strengths of others. When we, as leaders, begin to champion those around us, we create teams that thrive, relationships that flourish, and lives that are aligned with purpose. Hi there! I’m Laura. For over thirty years, my passion has been helping people connect with their talents, ignite their passion, and discover their purpose. Then, it’s about helping them use those talents to elevate the team and teaching the team to appreciate the strength that comes from combining each individual’s diverse contributions. It’s like hearing the combined harmonies of all the instruments in a symphony, creating something beautiful and moving. That’s what I did as a choral music educator, and it’s what I do now in the corporate world. As someone who thrives on collaboration and creativity, my goal is to help you become more of the person you were created to be, both professionally and personally.

Through my work, I help people Be More, Live Fully, and Lead Intentionally. That starts with self-awareness, but it’s the awareness of others that allows us to be champions who build other champions. I’ve personally experienced the power of champion builders in my life, and I know how it changes everything. By understanding yourself deeply and aligning your strengths with others, you can Do More with purpose and impact—and ultimately lead better, both in your community and your organization. I believe, because I’ve lived it, that when someone champions you to unlock your potential, you begin to see your life and leadership through a whole new lens. And others will, too.

I love witnessing the transformation that happens as the training impacts people’s work life, but what really excites me is when it impacts their home and family. I can get so caught up in it all because it’s truly my passion—I talk about it all the time.
