Lara dos Passos Coggin

I am an educator, a curriculum developer, and a mother living in Woodland Heights, Richmond, Virginia. I was born in Richmond, and returned to raise my son close to his uncle, cousins, and grandparents. After my post-graduate peregrinations took me to Massachusetts, New Mexico, and Arizona, I am delighted to finally re-connect with my roots, which extend to Virginia’s Northern Neck and Eastern Shore. In the years to come, I hope to transform my interests in race, place, culture, education, and memory into positive contributions to my community.
