Kevin M. Coleman is the Founder of KMC Empowerment, LLC where he provides executive coaching, empowering speeches, and professional development training to make individuals and organizations successful. This is done through inspiring leaders to define clear vision, mission, and value systems that leads to exponential personal, professional, and business growth. Kevin has vast experience in leading training for Entrepreneurs, Executives, Division Chiefs, Branch Chiefs, and Mid-Level Managers for over 25 years. Kevin has demonstrated experience speaking for all audiences from three (3) to three thousand (3,000). In addition, Kevin served his country in the military for over 9 years and is a disabled veteran.

Empowering and engaging training was offered at this year's BIG Region XI Training Conference. The conference was held at the Silver Spring Civic Center on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Leaders and industry professionals shared time-tested professional sage during the RTC. Participants were able to hone their expertise by attending workshops ranging from Thinking Strategically to The DNA of Leadership. I had the privileged opportunity to attend of The DNA of Leadership workshop taught by Mr. Kevin Coleman, KMC Empowerment. This workshop was career-changing. I left the workshop inspired, as did other current and emerging leaders. Mr. Coleman taught the three essentials of leadership, the five levels of leadership, and the seven attributes of leaders. Mr. Coleman defined power as influence. Participants learned how to increase and leverage their influence by listening and being responsive to the people. He encouraged leaders to practice self-leadership daily. Self-leadership requires honesty, building trust, being humble and being reliable. Do what you say you are going to do. When leaders are trustworthy, they can change the world. By building other leaders, who share your leadership code, you change the world faster. Mr. Coleman asserted that by empowering others to lead, leaders receive exponential return on their investment. Coaching and mentoring others is essential. Mr. Coleman shared so many golden nuggets during the The DNA of Leadership workshop. Here are three of the major takeaways: 1. Leaders are influencers -- be a positive influence 2.
