Dr. Keith Woodard was born in Dudley, NC. He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Johnny Woodard, Jr. He is the youngest of four siblings. His family was introduced to the Seventh-day Adventist church in 1995. In 1996 he became a baptized member of Maranatha Seventh-day Adventist Church of Goldsboro, NC, under the leadership of Pastor Herbert Anderson.
He preached his first sermon at the age of 16. From that event, he was given multiple speaking engagements within the eastern district part of North Carolina. Upon graduation from high school, he attended Oakwood College (now Oakwood University). While at Oakwood he majored in Ministerial Theology and aggressively åparticipated in Literature Evangelism. He also served as the Chaplain for the Religion and Theology Forum.
Upon graduating from Oakwood, he went to Andrews University Theological Seminary. While attending the seminary, he worked as a youth pastor in Chicage, IL, at the Goshen SDA church under the auspices of Pastor Leroy Coleman. He also worked as a voulunteer hospital chaplain at Lakeland Medical Center in Berrien Springs, MI. Upon graduation from Andrews University with his Masters of Divinity, he worked as Chaplain at Uptown Transitional Housing in San Diego, California. Approximately 5 years ago Pastor Keith Woodard decided to go back to Andrews University to work on his Doctor of Ministry with a concentration in Church Growth and Evangelism.
While in California, he received a call to pastor in the great South Atlantic Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. He has pastored churches in the city of Burlington, Reidsville, Greeville and Kinston NC.
His greatest earthly accomplishment was when he experienced a foretaste of heaven on August 30, 2009, and married the love of his life-the former Cynthia C. Fabre of Philadelphia, PA. From this blessed union God gave them two sons Ethan T. Woodard and Zachary K. Woodard
Pastor Woodard’s favorite scripture is Matt. 6:33: “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these thing shall be added unto you”. His life’s motto in ministry is “God does not call the qualified but qualifies the call”
