John Negrete

My name is John Negrete and I’m a 20 year veteran with the Los Angeles Police Department. I was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles and now serving the exact same streets where I was raised. As a youth I was mentored by LAPD Officers while in the LAPD Explorer Program. At the age of 21, I became an LA Cop and now working in the exact same community. In 2015, I founded the Los Angeles Police Cadet Scholarship Foundation as my personal way of paying it forward to an amazing program. I’m a firm believer in the strength and power of mentor ship.
