For 25 years of his life John suffered from severe panic attacks that threatened to derail his life and career. At one point, even conversations with strangers were a major struggle. Having finally discovered his panic "hacks", he left his anxiety behind him and his world changed forever. Unencumbered and fueled with confidence having overcome a major life obstacle, he began to apply his "hacks" to other obstacles and opened doors to major growth and accomplishment in his life. Today John speaks to thousands on stages all across the world to share his simple secrets to unleashing explosive personal and professional growth.
Having applied his learnings to his passion of leadership, John has had a very successful career developing a reputation as a "turnaround expert" having lead 4 organizations through a major turnaround. Most recently, John served as President & CEO of Concord Wealth Management, the Boston Agency of Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company for 7 years. During this time John lead the agency to more than triple the size and garnering recognition as Boston Globe’s Top Places to Work in 2017 & 2018 and Expertise’ Best Financial Advisors in 2017. Having brought the agency up from last in the country to as high as #2, Penn Mutual recognized the agency’s success with the President’s Award two consecutive years, the Excellence Award three consecutive years, along with recognizing three of his front line leaders with Manager of the Year for the last five years.
Prior to Penn Mutual, John spent 18 years with Ameriprise Financial in various roles from advisor, Field Vice President, and Regional Vice President. He earned the Outstanding Leader Award and Diamond Ring Club honors, through numerous accomplishments including bringing the Hartford, CT office from #100 to #1 in the country.
John is a frequent speaker on topics ranging from Leadership to Personal Achievement. He is known for his powerful and entertaining presentations leaving lasting life lessons through engaging storytelling. John graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in Economics and resides in Wayland, MA with his two children Nick and Skylar.
