Joci Scott

Joci Scott is an outgoing, personable, honest, and vulnerable individual with a passion for inspiring others using her lived experience as a woman with a disability.

When Joci was 20 years old, she was paralyzed from the hips down in a plane accident. She underwent months of physical and occupational rehab, learning how to live her life independently from her wheelchair. She worked to maintain a positive mindset - at first to regain as much function as possible, and then to mentally accept that her condition may be permanent. She uses her new experiences to educate people about disability awareness, representation, trauma, and coping with circumstances you cannot change.
