Jim Cosgrove

Award-winning children’s entertainer, public speaker, and author Jim "Mr. Stinky Feet" Cosgrove gave up a successful career as a corporate PR professional to pursue a dream of entertaining children and advocating for the magic of childhood.

Through his 26-year journey (and 5,000 performances), Cosgrove has discovered that adults have much to learn from children about achieving successful, balanced, and fulfilling lives by embracing the fundamental childlike joys we often leave behind in our hurried lives.

Now he brings these child-inspired lessons back to corporate America, because, he says, “What’s effective for success on the playground is effective for success in the boardroom.”

Cosgrove has worked as a media spokesperson for Sprint Corporation, an editor for Hallmark Cards, and a feature writer for the Albuquerque Journal. He is the author of three books for children, a true-crime memoir for grown-ups, and a collection of essays from his time as a parenting columnist for The Kansas City Star. In 2024, he was voted “Best Local Author” by Kansas City Magazine and “Best Local Band” by The Johnson County Post.

He lives near Kansas City with his wife, two daughters, and a handsome, rescued mutt.
