My journey into the world of health and fitness began with my passion for athletics. Excelling in basketball, football, and baseball during high school, you earned a full scholarship to Clark University in Atlanta, Georgia, where I completed my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. Driven by a deep-seated love for leading and helping people, I continued my academic pursuits at Michigan State University, earning my master’s degree and solidifying your path in fitness and wellness. For me, this wasn't just a career; it was a natural extension of my dedication to a healthier life.
Beyond my hands-on work, I found another powerful way to connect with and inspire people: authorship. As the author of four books, I cherish the ability to reach a wider audience with content I'm truly passionate about. The supportive community among fellow authors, much like a team, is a highlight of this endeavor. Most rewarding, however, is the knowledge that my work helps individuals achieve their full potential through holistic health and fitness, fostering a healthier world physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
My expertise and passion has extended into various media platforms. I hosted two television shows: "Fitness Friday" in Cleveland, Ohio, and "Meet The Experts" in Lansing, Michigan. A notable highlight includes my feature on NBC's "The Biggest Loser" (Season #5), where you served as a personal trainer alongside Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper, specifically working with the Green Team, the father-daughter duo Lynn and Genny Westphal. My insights have also been shared through me writing as a columnist in the health section for COSZO Magazine, contributing to the 'Life' section on rehab/recovery for the Lansing State Journal, and publishing health/fitness pieces in Noise Magazine and several local papers across Cleveland, Ohio, and Lansing, Michigan.
When I'm not writing or immersed in my professional pursuits, my hobbies reflect my commitment to well-being and connection. I enjoy spending time at church, with my children, family, and friends, and, of course, working out. Relaxing with movies is another favorite pastime. Additionally, My love for nature and hiking offers me a broader perspective on what truly matters for a healthy spirit, mind, and body, tying back to the core themes of your life's work.
