Jenni Nicolla Rai’s innovative approach to physical therapy for breast cancer patients quickly earned her the reputation as the “go-to” provider for celebrities with this diagnosis.
Jenni Nicolla Rai, MSPT, CLT, CES received her Master’s in Science and Physical Therapy from Ithaca College in 2001. She began her work with breast cancer patients in 2004 as a founding member of Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital’s outpatient breast cancer program. She completed the Academy of Lymphatic Studies Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) course in 2006, and recently became a Certified Edema Specialist (CES) through the American Physical Therapy Association.
Recognizing a resource gap for her patients between the end of breast cancer treatment and return to “normal” life, Jenni founded www.MyBreastieSays.com in 2017. Her website, blog and associated social media channels via Instagram and Facebook enjoy global reach, with the goal to provide key information most women won’t receive through the traditional health care system.
In addition, Jenni lectures about the role of physical therapy in breast cancer treatment at UCLA and Tower Cancer Research Foundation, and is a frequent guest on the podcast “Kappa Kappa Cancer.” She also builds community through volunteer work with Sharsharet, Cancer Free Generation, the Foundation For Living Beauty and the Facebook group, “Beyond the Pink Moon
Jenni continues to work “in the trenches” with the patient population she loves as Clinical Director of Rehab Specialists, Inc. practicing physical therapy in Beverly Hills and the San Fernando Valley, CA. In addition, she maintains her NY Physical Therapy License and consults bi-coastally.
