My name is Jason Spalding, and I am the founder and CEO of Intupact HR, a management consulting firm specializing in HR solutions that enhance organizational performance and employee satisfaction. With over 23 years of experience in human resources, I am committed to transforming workplace cultures through innovative strategies and inclusive practices.
I was born and raised on a farm in New Brunswick as one of six adopted children. My diverse background includes Scottish and Jamaican heritage. Growing up on a farm taught me hard work, responsibility, and perseverance. As a former Canadian track and field athlete, I learned discipline, teamwork, and resilience. My coaching experience, including coaching national champions and Olympians, taught me the value of leadership and how to inspire and motivate others.
I pursued an MBA from a top business school, which laid the foundation for a career focused on improving workplace dynamics and employee engagement. My professional journey began as a correctional officer, where I honed my conflict resolution skills and learned the importance of empathy and communication. I then joined Air Canada, working in various roles and eventually becoming a union representative for the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW). In this role, I advocated for employee rights and played a pivotal role in managing employee safety during the events of 9/11.
As a general manager, I successfully doubled revenue for my organization in just two years by implementing strategies that improved employee morale and engagement. This demonstrated my ability to drive growth and inspire teams to reach their full potential.
I founded Intupact HR to focus on leadership development as the cornerstone of organizational success. Our services include training, coaching, policy development, and diversity and inclusion programs. By prioritizing leadership development, we empower leaders to create environments where employees feel valued, heard, and motivated to contribute their best work. This focus has led to significant improvements in employee satisfaction, driving higher productivity and revenue growth.
I host the podcast "Leadership Lounge," where I share insights on leadership, culture, and personal growth. I am also launching a new podcast, "Lessons from the Journey," delving deeper into my experiences.
As a keynote speaker, I speak on leadership development, diversity and inclusion, and building high-performing teams, sharing insights from my personal journey, including my sports background and multicultural upbringing.
Based in the Greater Toronto Area, I am actively involved in community initiatives and enjoy spending quality time with my family. I am committed to continuous learning and personal development, incorporating fitness into my daily routine and prioritizing family time.
