Do you want to hear spy stories from the field linked to leadership lessons in your organization?
Dug Popovich is a retired Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Operations Officer and a State Department Foreign Service Officer. He served eight tours overseas, including a war zone tour in Iraq and two as Chief of Station (COS) in Latin American countries. He served mostly in the field, in over eight Embassies for over 20 years - recruiting spies and stealing secrets, in places like Tegucigalpa, Port-au-Prince, Santo Domingo, Bridgetown, Georgetown, San Jose, Kinshasa, Nairobi, Dakar and Bogota, among others.
Dug retired in 2023 after two decades of service, and currently runs his own Open Source Intelligence Collection (OSINT) and Executive Leadership (EXEC OPSEC) business called Area 52 (A52).
Personally, Dug has a masters degree from Yale and an undergraduate degree from the University of San Diego, where he was an All American football player. He lives in the Virginia woods with his wife and four kids.
