I am one of twins and sometimes one twin is born with health problems.
At age seven my family moved to Cadillac a small city in MI. In 1985 things
were different back then Doctors had to travel to so new procedures could
be demonstrated. During the first time an Esophageal Dilation was done on
me they had left me open too long. Somehow I received my 1st challenge to
overcome a winged shoulder blade. When I was 10 years old I had a gastric
pull-up surgery so I would not need to have any more dilation. Due to that
surgery, I lost the use of my left lung. The left common carotid artery ruptured
and had to be removed. I also received impaired vocal fold mobility. Without
the help of great people coaching me to grow beyond my limits, I would have
done nothing with my life.
Now at 40, I have done more with 1/2 of what most people take for granted.
So now its time to give back.
