Many organizations dream of an Enterprise Data Model that provides an integrated view of data as they are being produced and consumed across the entire organization. Enterprise Architects frequently use industry data models as a starting point. Usually this results in a ‘paper based’ enterprise data model. But that is only the beginning of a long journey.
