Bio

Isaac Harvey is essentially a super-human. Born with a condition called hypoplasia, which means he has no arms and short legs; Isaac has learned to do incredible things with his feet and wilful, ambitious and curious mind.

Isaac has always been incredibly creative, with an interest in filming and video production. What began as making a few video clips in the early days of YouTube from wrestling video games, followed by films of him playing video games with his feet – when Isaac was gifted with a GoPro after working with charity The Dream Factory he embarked on a career in vlogging. This opened many doors and he has since travelled around the world living life to the full; sailing, skiing, and recently, wheelchair rollerskating. He has even been skydiving in Ohio and raised thousands for charity in the progress.

In addition to this very impressive list of skills and experiences, Isaac is also president of Wheels & Wheelchairs. A group of London-based skaters, rollerbladers and wheelchair users who wheel around London every week.

Their story started in 2012 when a group of French rollerbladers and wheelchair users called Mobile En Ville challenged themselves to skate from Paris to London for the 2012 Paralympic Games. When they arrived in London, they reached out to the skating community here for advice on the most accessible routes around London and were inspired to start something similar. Wheels and Wheelchairs exists as a wonderful way for wheelchair users to experience London and challenges the stereotypes and perceptions of what differently-abled people can do.

Whilst experiencing his ups and downs, living with a physical disability has helped Isaac learn to overcome obstacles, adapt to change, and maintain a positive mindset. He speaks of the importance of making the most of what you have, and aims to make a positive impact on people’s lives, one person at a time.
