Heather Wilson is one of the country's leading experts on crisis management.
Named one of the top women in PR by PR News, she has worked with major corporations, venture capital firms, Silicon Valley startups, celebrities and high-profile individuals. In her 25 year+ career she has handled nearly every type of complex issue, from airline disasters to high-profile litigation, government investigations, data breaches, product issues, and corporate and financial scandals.
As a media and crisis trainer, she has counseled celebrities, professional athletes, CEOs, and public officials. Before beginning her career in strategic communications, Heather was a California-based journalist for several news outlets, including CBS MarketWatch, CNBC, FOX News, and the Los Angeles Times.
Heather has held senior leadership positions with some of the world's most prominent public relations firms, including Weber Shandwick, Abernathy MacGregor and SKDK. She currently is CEO of Lyseon Group, a boutique strategic communications firm that she founded.
She is a frequent speaker on crisis management, and has guest lectured at USC and SMU on topics including financial communications and investor relations, media strategy and crisis communications.
Heather received her B.A. in political science from Southern Methodist University and her Master of Arts in journalism at the University of Southern California, Annenberg School for Communications and Journalism where she won awards for Best Online News Feature by the Los Angeles Press Club and was named Annenberg’s “Outstanding Journalism Student, Digital News.”
