As a child of immigrant parents, John's early years were marked by challenges, including the struggle to grasp English and navigate the educational landscape. However, these difficulties served as the crucible in which his character was forged, instilling in him invaluable survival skills such as keen observation, situational awareness, and the ability to interpret body language—a repertoire not commonly found among native speakers.
Inspired by his grandfather's tales of survival during WWI and as a prisoner of war, John found himself psychologically prepared to face adversity head-on. This resilience was put to the test during his tenure in the NYC nightclub security scene, where he encountered multiple ambushes by shooters, enduring injuries and targeting of his security personnel.
Undeterred by these challenges, John embarked on a new chapter, venturing into the turbulent world of Wall Street. With astute acumen and rapid mastery of the trade, he co-founded a successful European institutional brokerage department, where his market and geopolitical analysis, coupled with investment advice, earned the trust and respect of money managers across Switzerland, Luxembourg, France, and beyond, facilitating the raising of millions for startup companies.
Yet, John's pursuits extended beyond the confines of finance. Fulfilling a childhood dream, he briefly donned the jersey of the Geneva Seahawks, contributing to a semi-pro American football team in Switzerland. His journey then led him back to the States, where he embraced a new venture—a vegan café in the eclectic enclave of South Beach, Miami, amidst its revitalization.
Throughout his odyssey, John seamlessly interwove diverse passions, including his involvement in the performing arts. From honing his craft with legendary acting coaches in NYC to gracing stages, screens, and even the world of improv, he embodies the essence of versatility. As a SAG/AFTRA/AEA member, John has left an indelible mark as a film producer, performer, and storyteller.
