When not actually on stage communicating, classical singing artist and speaker Gina Razon helps individuals find their truest voice. She is passionate in her advocacy for breathing, and in connecting people to the power of the human voice. She has served as voice coach for TEDx Cambridge and is a co-managing diva for Opera on Tap Boston. Gina is also sought after as a classical mezzo-soprano in chamber music, concert, and opera.
Gina Razón has taught private voice for the past sixteen years. Ms. Razón holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Music from the University of Denver, both in Voice Performance. She has been trained in vocal pedagogy (including the teaching of young voices), accent reduction, speech improvement, diagnosis and correction of non-medical vocal issues, private studio instruction, movement, Alexander Technique, acting, diction, voice disorders, and repertoire. She is a full member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association, the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and the Voice Foundation.
Dominican-American mezzo-soprano Gina Razón is recognized for her versatility, physicality and the rich warmth of her instrument. Embracing diverse roles, Ms. Razon is a chameleon on stage, fully inhabiting the characters she portrays. A gifted recitalist, Ms. Razón infuses the song recital with a sense of immediacy and vitality.
Ms. Razón has performed with the Opera Theatre of the Rockies, Opera Fort Collins, Loveland Opera Theatre, OpenStage Theatre, Colorado Light Opera, Lyric Theatre Festival, Pendulum Concert Series, and The Academy Music Series. She holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Music from the University of Denver, both in voice performance.
Gina lives in Boston and regularly performs in an irreverent production of "The Singer, her Husband, their Daughter, and the Pets."
