Career Reinvention When Change Happens

The ability to adapt in challenging times, like the one we are in now, calls for the ability to reinvent and reimagine our future in a way that leverages our strengths. A crisis can be a life-changing event that provokes clarity and value-driven choices in our careers. Coaching for transition uses the solution-focused approach to rethinking career options and remaking careers from a position of strength instead of weakness. HR leaders, middle managers, and internal coaches can use this strength-based approach to help people transition and reinvent themselves to manage change when it happens. By the end of this presentation, participants are expected to be able to facilitate strength-based career change and coach others in transition using a solution-focused approach.

Your Career Your Business

Coaching is a leadership competency that we can call upon in supporting employees in their career transitions, finding development opportunities that leverage their strengths and contributing to achieving company goals. Career management is not only a function. It is a skill/competency that we can develop. Growth can be co-created. Suppose you can train and coach employees to manage their careers according to your shared values. What could change in the way people contribute to improving performance in your organization? By the end of this workshop/presentation, participants are expected to be able to:* 1. Apply a strength-based model in the career management process, 2. Develop strategies to help employees co-create their career future using a business development model 3. Help employees with career transition or coping strategies in a disruptive environment during or after a crisis *Objectives may change depending on the time allotted for the presentation or workshop.
