Bio

I am a mother, a team lead, a professor and an inspirational speaker. I like to connect to people through the experiences and the journey of change.

I was born and raised in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, moved to the United States to pursue my graduate degree when I eventually found myself raising two toddlers as a single mother. I managed academic, professional, and parental struggles synchronously.

Leading several teams at large enterprises as well as startups, helping teams implement and improve different dynamic processes, mentoring several individuals along the way, I found an incessant need for redesign, particularly in small and medium ventures, both domestically and internationally.

I delivered hundreds of talks, workshops and training to universities, women conferences, non-profit organizations and corporates.

I believe change is inevitable if you want to grow. it is often starts from within. That we are not by design, yet despite this we have the power to adopt our challenges and evolve to rise above them.

Not by design

Neither you or I choose our parents, where we were born, our skin colors or body shape. We did not choose to be raised poor or rich, healthy or sick. How can we be defined by something we did not do or even choose!

In my opinion, we are the values we challenge, the religions we question, the opportunities we seek, the risks we take, the falls and stands.

I am not what I was raised or designed to be. In my journey of struggle chasing my dreams, raising my children and adapting to continuous challenges, I realize that we need to be resilient, continuously redesign and learn and grow as we learn and discover more about ourselves and others.

Life always offers us choices to change, to be rebellious, to be creative or to accept being victims.

Leadership Lessons from Horseback Riding

Leadership is a fusion of inherent talent and finely honed skills. In order for a leader to thrive, it is crucial to learn the right techniques, and master these skills through consistent and deliberate practice.
In the past year, I embarked on horse riding lessons, affording me the chance to explore leadership through a unique lens.
This workshop or presentation presents a leadership skill set, drawing parallels from the world of horseback riding. It teaches essential elements to successfully lead your team using the art of storytelling and practical experiences derived from both professional sectors and the realm of horsemanship.

Sail in The Wind- Measure What Matters

Sailing is an ancient skill perfected by humans. The whole sailing idea goes around pointing the angle of your direction, utilizing what you have and measuring what really matters. What if we apply these simple (still hard) rules in business, personal and professional life?. Wouldn't that help enjoying a journey to a chosen destination! Setting and tracking the right metrics for your life, career and business to reach your desired destination.

The Power of microforgiviness

You wake up in the morning, get ready to work. Leave your house. Someone cuts you in the traffic light, you get upset. You tell yourselves to ignore. Driving by your favorite coffeeshop, you see a sign on the side of the street and it makes you feel angry. You shake your head and try to enjoy your drink and let it go. You get to the parking lot and you are about to park your car when someone takes your best parking spot. Ah.. you get frustrated again.

Finally, you reach your office, it is not 8:00 am yet. Your colleague tells you “you look nice today”, you feel happy and uplifted again.

You go through this emotional rollercoaster the whole day long. By the end of the day, you feel exhausted, drained and your creativity is gone.

Do not you wish to have more control on your emotions?. I do.
