Bio

Horizontal Tabs

Decision neuroscientists

Formerly a business project manager, I switched to science to study how humans learn. I have a PhD in neurosciences and years of experimental research experience using neuroimaging, behavioral and physiological metrics, as well as applied survey research on finance professionals and business school students.

I specialize in the behavioral study of sustainable decision-making with a special focus on finance.

I teach "Psychology of Finance" in the Geneva Wealth Management Masters (UniGE) and "Future Thinking" at Montpellier Business School.

Research topics I am currently active in are :

Behavioral sustainable finance

(ethical dilemmas, role of emotions in green investing)

Collective intelligence for the future

(hackathons, future narratives, role of play at work)

How to communicate about sustainability to incite proenvironmental choices

I am also the co-founder of UNUECO (www.unueco.ch) - an association providing science-based public communication tools for sustainability.

Future narrative co-teller

I am passionate about new ways of learning that will propel students towards becoming empathic and self-aware leaders we need for the ecological transision. For years I have been studying neuroscience of learning and motivation, and now I teach it to business and neuroscience students.

I teach the competencies for the future: self-awareness through neuroscience and psychology of decision-making (including lessons on happiness, inequality and gratitude); collective intelligence and future foresight in Future Thinking. I am also a yong mom fully immersed in educational neuroscience and psychology of attachment and play.

My seminars and talks tell insightful stories and take listeners on an inspiring ride full of mind-opening questions, and quizzes mixed with anecdotes. They are highly appreciated by my students and international conference attendees, including finance professionals in Switzerland

Brain is a prediction machine
Adaptation to change in the environment involves surprise and emotion
When learning is easy and change is exciting
Why changing the brain feels difficult
Conditions to make adaptation to change easier

Neuroscience of sustainable choices

Trust and belief formation
In this part of the talk, I will lay the grounds for understanding trust in finance: from money as a unit of trust, through the game-theoretic study of evolution of trust, to cultural differences in attitudes towards money. We will talk about greenwashing and greenhushing, and the moral dilemmas that lie ahead of sustainability reporting officers in the jungle of ESG-compliance standards. We will also touch upon the psychology of stubborn choices: cognitive dissonance, confirmation bias and selective exposure.
