Evan McKeirnan has nearly thirty years of experience in the corporate aviation industry. His interest in aviation started in high school and continued into college. He attended Spokane Community College in Washington, earning his Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificates and an Associate in Applied Science—Aviation Maintenance (AAS).
Evan holds several FAA certifications, including Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) with Inspection Authorization (IA), FAA Private Pilot & Third-Class Medical (PP-ASEL), and FAA Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) Remote Pilot. He has completed advanced training at FlightSafety International, including Gulfstream G450 and G550 courses. Throughout his career, Evan has been honored with the FAA Silver and Bronze Awards, the AMT Society Magazine & Online “NextGen 40 under 40” Award, and several other accolades for his troubleshooting and technical expertise.
After completing his studies in 1999, Evan began his career as a Crew Chief on a Gulfstream aircraft in Van Nuys, California. He also worked as a Chief Inspector on various Gulfstream and Learjet models. Over time, Evan advanced to positions such as Maintenance Technician for EJI (NetJets), West Coast Maintenance Manager for Presidential Aviation, and Director of Maintenance at Jet Edge International and Crystal Air in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Evan’s experience includes overseeing maintenance operations for Gulfstream aircraft, managing maintenance budgets, and ensuring airworthiness for multiple aircraft fleets. He was the Chief Inspection and Maintenance Supervisor for Western Jet Aviation, where he led the inspection department and managed special projects with NASA and Lockheed Martin. He later served as Director of Maintenance at Prime Jet and Aero Cadre/Monza Aviation, where he was responsible for ensuring the safety and airworthiness of Gulfstream aircraft operating worldwide.
Evan works as the Maintenance Supervisor at Solairus Aviation in Van Nuys. In this role, he manages scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and quotes for private jets. He is committed to continuous learning and regularly participates in training to stay current with industry standards and best practices.
Evan McKeirnan’s passion for aviation began in Pomeroy, Washington, where a family friend inspired him in corporate aviation. Outside of work, Evan is an avid off-road motorcycle racer and has competed in the AMA District 37 Grand Prix and Desert series for over two decades.
