The Orwo family encompasses more than 30 companies in eight different countries. Orwo has a rich history and is the inventor of color film, way back in 1936.
Now in our 114th year, we are still the world’s best manufacturer of analog film and we are also involved in the most cutting-edge technology as well (AI, VR, AR, virtual sets et cetera). We are very busy in both film and TV production. Within our group, we also own multiple physical studios, including in the USA, Germany, the UK, Mauritius, and the Canary Islands. These studios have been the home to some of the biggest movies of the past 15 years - Star Wars Rogue One, Dumbo, 24 Live Another Day, Mission Impossible 6, Magnificent Seven, Free State of Jones, Mazerunner, Twilight, etc. Orwo currently finances and produces 8-10 films a year in Europe and 4-6 films a year in the USA.
