I am a survivor and I talk about it. I allowed the pain and trauma of being kidnapped and held hostage for 5 months while pregnant to control me. I escaped my kidnapper and hired a bodyguard to protect me and my 3-month-old child. I fell in love with my bodyguard and married him. 15 years later we tell our story worldwide to help others see there is life after trauma.

It was not until I looked inward and saw that the pain that I refused to accept was fogging my reality, that I could let go and heal. I began telling my story publicly two years ago and have since been posted 29 times worldwide, written my book, and built a social media following.

I left my job as a teacher of 10 years after I felt the Lord pulling me to share my story and help others see there is more to life then the trauma they have experienced.
