The oldest of four boys, Dr. Tracy W. Marx was born and raised in rural Illinois. Throughout high school he intended to become a Christian minister, however once he graduated Tracy's attention turned toward the profession of theatre. After graduating with an A.S. degree from Wabash Valley College, he pursued two more years of studies in theatre, music, and business.
Tracy transferred to Johnson University in Knoxville, TN, where he majored in Bible and specialized in Media Communications and Preaching. During the course of his studies he was ordained as a Christian Minister, and upon graduating from Johnson with a BS cum laude, he entered full-time pastoral ministry and went on to earn Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees.
In March 2010, Dr. Marx became the President of Louisville Bible College and led the institution to gaining Accredited Status for the first time in its history. During his tenure, the college had many successes, including the implementation of an online Certificate of Christian Leadership program and an increased number of online class offerings; the creation of a one-of-a-kind Bachelor's degree in Women's Ministry that was enthusiastically endorsed by New York Times best-selling author Liz Curtis Higgs; and partnering with World Mission Builders to establish two new Bible colleges in the Philippines. As a professor at LBC, he taught in the areas of communicative arts, Bible, philosophy, history, Christian education, and homiletics.
He is currently President, Instructor & Consultant at TRACY W. MARX & ASSOCIATES which exists to equip Christian organizations and individuals for excellence by way of public speaking, education, training and consultation. He also works as a professional actor on both stage and screen. His stage credits include "A Christmas Carol" (Scrooge), "South Pacific" (Cmdr. Harbison), "Snoopy!!! The Musical" (Snoopy), "Harvey" (Judge Omar Gaffney), and many, many others. As of this writing he is playing the role of Scottish physician and detective Dr. Angus MacCrimmon in WhoDunnit Murder Mystery Theater's "Murder on 34th Street" in Louisville, Kentucky. Additionally, he has recently completed production on the films "Mom & Dad" with Nicolas Cage, "Monumental" with Jeremy Irons, and "Clovehitch" with Dylan McDermott. All three of those films are scheduled to be released in 2017.
Dr. Marx lives in Louisville, Kentucky, where is a member of Southeast Christian Church and serves as a teacher.
