Dr. Melissa K. Haworth DNP, MSN, RN specializes in nursing education. Through her DNP project, Dr. Haworth was able to implement sustainable practice changes in a public health clinic to promote gender non-conforming care needs. Dr. Haworth has also completed extensive work on the role of STEM in the Nursing Profession, and how the nurse can support the development of adolescent self-esteem.
Dr. Haworth has been featured in several conferences including the Michigan Department of Education Career and Technical Conference, Leading Age Annual Conference, and MHOEA Annual Conference.
Dr. Haworth continues to practice nursing in the home care setting and works as a nurse educator. She is a Dow Corning Foundation Fellow and member of Sigma Theta Tau.
