I Dr Gopal Sakarkar has completed my Master in Computer in 2006 and Ph.D. in 2017 from S.G. B. Amravati University, Amravati. I have a total 15 years of teaching and research experience.
To build a long-term profession as a teacher, I am proud to share that I had taken initial efforts to start and frame the scheme and syllabus as BOS member of the Department of AI and Data Science at GHRCE, Nagpur. I am also an External-Academic Board of Study Member at Government Polytechnic College, Nagpur and Computer Applications Department, HVPM College, Amravati to design and frame the scheme and syllabus. I have received 85 to 90 % above feedback for my till date taught subjects. To understand the subject in more detail, I have started my YouTube Channel on ML and more than 650+ students benefit from these 24/7 available digital notes.
To develop and promote creativity and high-order thinking skills, I have 8 PhD research scholars enrolled under me for doctoral research, out of which 5 research scholars are from Academic Institute, 2 are from IT Industry and 1 is from Forensic Department, Mumbai. Till date, I have published 45 research papers that include International Journals (SCI-03, 2-SCI Submitted, ESCI-01, WoS-05, 3 UGC Approved Journals) and International Conferences (Springer-06, ELSEVIER-02, IEEE-04, AIP-01, SCOPUS Indexed-07 conferences). I have 200+ Google scholar citations with 6 h-index and 5- i10 index and 79 citations in Scopus with 3 h-index.
I have filed 3 patents and my 2 copyrights have been granted by Govt. of India, I have published 2 text-books on Machine Learning out of which one was published by NOVA Science Publisher, USA and 2 book chapters have been published in Springer Nature and Taylor and Francis publications.
As research is my passion, I had filed 09 research proposal that includes SERB-DST, AICTE-ISTE Faculty Development Scheme, DST–FELLOWSHIPS, DST-ASEAN-India Collaborative R&D Scheme, AICET-CRG, DST-India Philippines Science and Technology Cooperation in collaboration with National and International researchers.
I have received a research grant of $15,000 USD from Microsoft, USA under the scheme AI for Earth in association with Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, Nagpur and Ex. Scientists from NEERI, NGP to predict the Air Quality Index of Nagpur City and also Consultancy amount of Rs 80,000/- from GetImplant Inc, Houston, USA to implement AI based predictive analysis of OPG x-ray images.
I have received the “Best Teacher Award- 2019” for my contribution to developing the Center of Excellence in AI and Machine Learning and for taking tired less efforts to start the Department of AI at GHRCE, Nagpur, “Best Research Paper Award” at AICTE Sponsored International Conference on AI and Big Data Analytics-2022 .
