Preparing for the Unexpected

In January 2023, I was part of the 100,000+ employees laid off. As for most of us, it came completely unexpected. When I got off the Zoom call learning of my new employment status, two words came to mind: Preparation and Opportunity.

Over the next few months I learned how prepared I was for this moment, to be laid off, to go through the mental game of applying for a new job, and then, what actually came into my life was the greatest opportunity for growth I'd ever experienced.

This talk is about helping people prepare for the unexpected events that they could experience. Even if we don't know what's coming, we can still be prepared. When we're prepared, we can see anything as an opportunity.
