She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tuskegee University, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and dual postgraduate degrees from George Washington University – a Master of Science in Engineering Management and a Doctor of Engineering (D.Eng.) degree. Dr. Cristi has numerous credentials including as a The Leadership Challenge® Certified Practitioner, Demonstrated Master Logistician (DML), Earned Value Management System Certification, and several Lean Six Sigma certifications.
A committed advocate for professional development and making a social impact, Dr. Cristi A. Haygood holds a distinguished role as a Lifetime Member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). Her journey with NSBE began in 1998 when she joined her high school's chapter, and she currently contributes as a vital member of the Atlanta Professionals Chapter, serving as the Professional Development Chair. Additionally, Dr. Cristi plays a key role on the NSBE Entrepreneurship SIG Board as the Communications Director. In her altruistic pursuits, she dedicates her spare time to serving as a STEM Mentor at local schools and conducting Technical and Management Professional Development Workshops. Driven by a passion for community engagement, she actively participates in various organizations, including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the Society of Women Engineers, American Society for Engineering Management, International Society of Value Engineers, and the Project Management Institute.
