Personal Details

Bio

I’ve been a teacher, a principal, a congressional staffer, and a Dean. I've led schools, non-profits, and movements. For the last 15 years I've worked in higher education disability. I even co-authored Tennessee's Dyslexia law. On a whim, I wrote a little indie leadership book that became an Amazon bestseller, and I am also actively involved in filmmaking as an actor, screenwriter, and producer.

Leadership is a conversation worth having, especially when we connect it to personal biases, learning, and life in general. I’ve been speaking and presenting for years, and I’ve presented from Appalachia to Africa, so make no mistake I'll say yes, and come to you wherever you are as well. All you have to do is ask! I want to make a difference helping you make yours.

Leaving a Legacy of Leadership Trust

Building and maintaining trust, and leaving a legacy of trust behind. When your career ends, it's not what you pack up in those boxes that matters, it's what you're leaving behind.

Protecting Your Leadership Integrity

Maintaining and protecting leadership integrity is just as important as maintaining structural integrity of a building or a bridge. Neglect can be devastating.

5 Things People Will Always Remember about you

Are you building memories that teach? Leaving life lessons through your personal story and your relationships.

Is Everybody Welcome? Disability & Access within the Church

This presentation challenges the notion that everyone is welcome at church. We may want them to be, and we may think they are, but how are people with disabilities and their families connected and plugged in within the church, and how can we make it better?

Perceptions of Disability: Models of Accessibility

The lenses we view the world from matter. How do different lenses perceive disability? How can those lenses impact our daily decisions and more importantly the people we come in contact with. Which model are you following? Is it time for new lenses?

Custom Tailored Keynotes

I connect your desired topics with leadership, learning and life through personal stories, tailoring and customizing to the needs of your group or organization.
