Koda August and Kaitlin Snyder challenged me 5 months ago to get active on social media and start sharing my story to create a personal brand.
Last month I had four speaking engagements and landed two keynote speaking engagements for later this year.
Why do I stand by my message of "use adversity as motivation?"
Adversity:
● Father was an addict who I loved
● Parents divorced at age 4
● Lost great friend on the basketball court at age 15
● Lost father at 17
● Diagnosed with Brain tumor at 21
● Diagnosed with hashtag#vonhippellindau at 23
● Diagnosed with RCC right side (Kidney Cancer)at 27
● Treatment in 2013 (partial nephrectomy of right kidney)
● Diagnosed with RCC left side (Kidney Cancer) at 30
● Treatment in 2015 (partial nephrectomy of left kidney)
● Diagnosed with various pancreatic tumors 2016
● Diagnosed with several spinal tumors 2017
● Diagnosed with two more brain tumors 2021
Motivation:
● 4 Kids and a beautiful wife
● Raised by Single Mom who was a rockstar
● Unbelievable friends and mentors
● Scored 1,000 points in high school basketball
● PIAA State Finalist in Long Jump
● Division 1 track scholarship to Monmouth
● Transferred to Susquehanna University
● Two Time team Defensive Player of the year
● Two Time team captain
● Corporate Job at AT&T
● Top 5 performing sales rep in the country for most of my career
● Started The Gilroy Group in 2016 (Group Health and Medicare)
● Started Lauer Media Company 2018
● Started life changing chemo drug 2022 (thank you science and doctors)

● Launched game changer Sales as a service in 2023
I have never allowed my adversity to define me. I will never be a victim. I will always use my adversity to be grateful and motivated to seize the day. Carpe Diem!
