I am Celestina Darko, a recent communication, specifically Public Relations graduate from the Ghana Institute of Journalism here in Ghana. Public speaking and moderation is a passion which I flawlessly excel, even more, I decided to join Toastmasters International in 2021 to build that skill.
Over the past few years, these and more have I excelled at in my space
• Moderated 2 reading sessions on zoom organized by the Ghana Reads Initiative and World Reader Ghana. One was in commemoration of the Africa Union (AU) Day and the other was in the celebration of Mothers’ Day with about 50 people joining each meeting. Some guest speakers were Mrs. Kate Addo, Lydia Alhassan, Dr. Wale Okediran, Dr. Obadele Kamboh.
• Moderator for “Girl, Digi-Up,” a reading and conversation session organized by World Reader Ghana, Duo Concept, Center for National Culture & UNESCO Ghana to commemorate the 2021 International Day of the Girl Child in 2021 which saw about 200 students from Accra Girls Senior High School and Apostle Kojo Safo School of Arts and Science present
• Played role as Contest Chair for three Toastmasters Clubs during their Table Topics & Speech Contest in February & March 2023 respectively (CS Relentless, Orators Court & Accra Toastmasters Clubs)
