Brett Dellar is a mental health and resilience speaker who helps organisations reduce burnout, build emotionally intelligent leadership, and support people under pressure.
A former police officer who spent 30 years silently battling depression while high-functioning on the outside, Brett understands human struggle from the inside out. He has faced firearm incidents, trauma, emotional suppression, and — eventually — the turning point that changed his life forever.
After overcoming decades of unresolved childhood trauma, Brett developed powerful frameworks for resilience, emotional awareness, and fear-based decision-making. He now teaches teams, leaders, and workplaces how to navigate pressure, speak up before they break down, and rebuild a culture of genuine mental wellbeing.
Brett is a Chiropractor of 20+ years, a qualified life coach, and a graduate of the Speakers Institute Protegé program. He is the author of two books:
*Soften the F#k Up! Being a Better Man in Today’s World
Emerge: Breaking Through Life’s Challenges & Thriving Beyond
Today, Brett speaks across Australia to organisations, communities, and frontline services, showing people how to face their fears, break old patterns, and create a life of courage, connection, and purpose.
Topics include:
Fear, resilience & courage under pressure
Mental wellbeing in high-stress environments
Emotional intelligence & healthy masculinity
Leadership, culture, and psychological safety
Breaking cycles of overwhelm, burnout, and silent suffering
Brett’s message is simple:
When you change your relationship with fear, you change the trajectory of your life.
