On Making Sense of Medicine

A sharp pain shoots down the side of your leg. Do you know what’s causing it? Do you know how to make it better?

Your wrist and hand become weak and painful. Do you know what’s happening in your body? Do you know how to prevent it in future?

You often get intense headaches for no apparent reason. Do you know how to avoid taking medications for these? Do you know how to make them less frequent and less severe?

These questions have complex answers, but Bob Keller answers them in a way that anyone can understand. For these and dozens of other common conditions, he explains in simple terms

• How your body and mind work.

• What’s happening in your body when you hurt.

• How and when to take action.

• What makes the pain better.

• How to prevent it from coming back.

Bob Keller has experience with the often-complicated conditions addressed in this series. He has a passion and a talent for explaining complex topics in everyday terms.

Making Sense of Medicine is a companion and guide to understanding things that happen to you every day.

Who is Bob Keller?

Bob Keller maintains a holistic practice in Newburyport, MA. He offers medical massage therapy for pain relief without medication, surgery, needles, or cracking. In addition, he provides psychological counseling, dream work and spiritual direction as needed.

Many patients call him Dr. Bob and accuse him of doing miracles, but he is not a medical doctor nor a divinity. His field is medical massage therapy, understanding this miracle we call the human being.

Bob has studied and worked in many areas: electrical engineering, psychology, computer science, neuroscience,

creative writing, knowledge engineering, and more. He has done graduate programs in psychology and in computer science.

His post-graduate studies have included Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Neuroscience, Clinical Neurology, Massage Therapy, and Medical Massage to name a few.

What Bob enjoys most is taking complex ideas about body,

mind, and spirit, and explaining them in terms ordinary

intelligent people can understand. This could be something like

psycho neuro immunology or acid reflux, ganglion cysts or

sciatica, the amazing human brain or the way cuts heal.

Bob has written and presented numerous seminars, taught small

and large groups of students of all ages, and has lectured at

colleges and universities. He is the author of three books, two on computer science, and one called Making Sense of Medicine; Medical Matters Made Simple.

Bob can be reached at 978-465-5111 or bob@SeacoastMedicalMassage.com.
